This lovely signed Russian blue and white covered dish is a wonderful example of the Gzhel style of folk ceramic craft. Local artisans in the region southeast of Moscow have produced ceramics that have been cherished for generations. This covered dish features hand painted rose images and is marked underneath with the artists' signatures and a Gzhel hallmark in Cyrillic. Measuring approximately 6 inches long, 4 1/2 inches wide and 4 1/2 inches tall, the item is in mint condition. This piece pairs well with Dutch Delft porcelain and Asian ceramics.
