C.M. (Clark) Goff attended the Rhode Island School of Design (RISD). Graduating into architecture work, he began making and selling pen-and-ink drawings and prints of historic Massachusetts landmark buildings. "Amish Framer at the Old Village Store dates to the 1950-69 period. He lives year-round on Martha's Vineyard Island, and for many years owned a bookstore, were he had his printmaking business in the back. He is a well known artist who has had viewings all across the US. Goff is widely recognized for the detailed pen-and-ink work you see here in this scene from Bird In Hand, Pennsylvania.
