A spectacular Piece for collection and display, this beautiful Antique will surely garner both admiration and respect. The Antique is composed of two Pieces; a Spatter Glass Bowl, and a Silver Stand for which the Bowl to rest. The Antique is a product of the English (Sheffield) based firm of: James Deakin & Sons. It has an approximate date of production set at or near the year of (1895). As noted, the Antique is comprised of: thick, heavy, bright, (Sheffield), Silverplate, over a Nickel Silver base. The Bowl is comprised of: thick, quality, (Bohemian), Spatter Glass. The Spatter Glass is shaped in such a fashion that lends to its Shell-like appearance. The bright, Rainbow-like, colors, are reminiscent of Tie-dye. Both the Spatter Glass Bowl and Silver Stand are styled in accordance to a variety of artistic influences. We see evidence of (late) Victorian, with that of Bohemian, and Art Nouveau. The Silver Stand has a footed base, thus enabling for a variety of display opportunities. The Silver Stand creates a cradle for the Spatter Glass Bowl; allowing for additional display settings and in turn, ensuring the Bowls security. Despite the Antique being over (125+) years of age, its structural & aesthetic integrity are without question. There are no: chips, fractures, or cracks, to the Spatter Glass Bowl; nor is there wearing to the Silver. With the exception of some superficial scuffs to the Silver, and some accumulated Patina, it has a clean & vibrant appearance. A testament to the quality of the Antique and to the care it's since received.
