An exceptionally classy and respectable looking Piece, this lovely Glass Candlestick Chimney with Sterling Base is a product of the famed, high-end, American retailer, Gump's of San Francisco (est.1861). Gumps is renowned for its exceptionally beautiful merchandise; all of which is quality, valuable, and sometimes quite rare. Gump's expanded to open stores outside of its flagship region and opened its Honolulu Store in 1929. This particular Piece is stamped with the Gump's Trademark; which in this case includes the San Francisco-Honolulu marking, placing the Candlestick Chimney's production date at 1957. The Glass Chimney is shaped to replicate the traditional, and conservative, Victorian Era, design; as is the Sterling Base. The Sterling Base not only adds to the aesthetic appeal of the Piece, but reinforces the structural integrity of the Glass Candlestick Chimney as well. The condition of the Piece is remarkable, especially considering the nature of the Glass being so light in weight. The Sterling is in great condition too. It has recently been buffed to a high, reflective, shine, and sparkles in the light. Although the Piece was produced in mid-20th century, it clearly is deeply influenced by the Victorian Era, and exhibits many of the periods characteristics, quite well.
