We are offering this exceptional and stunning example of the highest quality of Victorian English silver. This very large hot water Urn is decorated with scrolling leaf and scallop shell decoration with an extremely fine flower decoration on the finial of the piece. The urn is in very fine condition with only minor wear and comes with the original wrought iron slug and T-bar for heating. The tea urn is hallmarked in several places for Richard Sibley of London along with the date letter corresponding to 1840. The base is further marked for the famous London retailer Makepeace, who sold some of the best and most impressive pieces of English silver.

The urn measures 15 3/4 Inches (40.1 cm) tall by 14 1/2 Inches (36.9 cm) wide from handle to handle and 15 Inches (38.2 cm) deep from the rear to the spout. The piece overall weighs 187.3 ounces troy, not including the iron pieces.
