A beautiful ruffled cased art glass vase, circa 1890-1920, with enamel decoration. Probable origin is either English or Austrian/Czech area. The blown, two layer glass is white with pastel pink showing on the interior ruffled, tri-corner top. The colorful, heavy enamel decoration consists of several branches covered with delicate blue and white blossoms and buds; perhaps forget-me-not. Resting together on one branch are three yellow birds, each with different back colors of blue, russet and green. The vase measures 5" in height, 5" across the top and 3 3/8" across the base. There are no cracks, chips or repairs; near mint.
