The 'Barred Ovals' pattern was manufactured by George Duncan & Sons, Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, circa 1890. It was reissued by United States Glass Company, Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, circa 1892, as 'Factory D Line 15004. The pattern was also known as Banded Portland, Buckle and Oval and Crossbar. Made in non-flint, clear, clear with frosting or ruby stained.

The goblet pattern consists of a row of frosted barred ovals surrounding the bowl with plain stem and round base. The goblets measure 6 1/4" in height, 2 7/8" across the top and 3" across the base. There are no cracks, chips or repairs.
