Early English wooden dolls tester bed with extremely fancy upholstery. 18th century

14 inches high.

The bed has a laced bed spring and is fitted throughout with golden silk upholstery and bedding. The fabric is truly stunning and in excellent condition. The four testers are upholstered in golden silk with delicate metallic material.

There are linen side panels and outer pleated side panels with intricate decoration on them.

There is a woven circular crown on the inside of the roof and a wonderful long cushion on the bed in the matching golden silk fabric.

The outer roof of the bed is covered in a thicker fabric adorned with pretty patterns.

Very good condition. Signs of age related wear to the fabric here and there.

A beautiful, early piece of dolls furniture.
