This is a c. 1900 match safe with an Art Nouveau design of a female surrounded by flowers, both sides the same. The bezel is marked "Sterling" and the maker's mark for Maltby, Stevens & Curtiss Co., Wallingford, CT. Its 2 5/8 x 1 3/4 inches with a strike to the bottom, Very good condition, has some small edge dings.
