This is the Imperial Glass Issue of the 1889 Atterbury Glass Lion Box with Lid. These were made by Imperial from 1957 to 1960, utilizing the original mold from Atterbury Glass. The underside of the lid has the impressed Atterbury mark: "Pat'd. AUG-6, 1889". The lid is paired with Dancing Sailor Lacy base, a common pairing. It has the "IG" mark on the underside of the base. Both lid and base are in excellent condition with no damage or stress cracks on the lacy fringe of the base. Both the upper and lower pieces have a matte satin finish. The lid is slightly, a shade brighter than the base. Overall height is 7" by 7-1/2" wide by 5-1/2" deep.
