1915 St. Patrick’s Day Card with Balboa 1513 Stamp - image 1 of 8

This postcard features an Irish maiden riding a donkey. The donkey has big saddle baskets filled with shamrocks. The card has a green border with scattered shamrocks and a poem with shamrock embellished capital letters for each line. The card is in good condition with light edge and corner wear and light face soil.

The back of the card has a Detroit Michigan March 10, 1915 postmark. There is a green 1513 Balboa one cent stamp that is canceled. The card has been addressed and mailed. There a message written in ink. The lower left edge of the card is imprinted with L&E No 7032 Germany.

Message: Detroit March 10, 1915. Dear Florence Thought I would send you a card to tell you we are having a splendid time. We leave for Pontiac today. Supposed to get home Sat. Hope you have looked after the new housekeepers. I have some good things to tell you when I get home so would like to see you soon after we get home. I am sure it will please you. Sincerely Mrs. Keith
