Instead of water, this camel houses ink! A resting single-humped (Dromedary) camel complete with bag, tassels, saddle, and halter is depicted in cast metal. It has been cold painted in multiple but, now faded, colors and has not been retouched. His saddle/hump opens to reveal an inkwell. The inkwell sits snugly, yet easily removable, inside the hinged hump. It measures 6” wide, 3 1/2” high, and 2 3/4” deep. This is considered an Anglo-Indian piece and it appears to be in its original condition.
