Contents: This book is in two parts. Part I chronicles the various lawsuits, litigations, and reports that concerned both the Carson River Valley and the Truckee River beginning in the mid-19th century up to the time of the book's publication in the latter part of the 20th century.
Part II is an historic look at the mills and dams on the Carson River in both words and pictures once again beginning in the mid-19th century but only up until the early years of the 20th century.
