This book is the very scarce First Edition copy of Gladys Taber's first Stillmeadow book. This book, like most of her Stillmeadow books to follow, takes the reader through the seasons at Stillmeadow. This book was written at a time when the house was shared by her children and husband, her sister Jill's children and husband, and the various cocker spaniels that populated Stillmeadow for years to come. It is the reader's first introduction to Stillmeadow which would come to be immortalized in 19 more Stillmeadow books written through the years. Indexed.
