Eheldreda Gray. Twenty (20) full page color plates mounted on white card stock paper. A magnificent, scarce children's book that is in very good condition with no loose, torn or missing pages, binding tight and Illustrations truly bright and colorful. Many wonderful stories in rhyme and verse by some of the great story tellers of the day. White cloth covered illustrated front board very good with illustration and lettering in gilt. Corner tips lightly bumped. Illustrated spine covering faded and rear board lightly soiled with heavier soiling at vertical spine edge. Internally, end pages foxed with rear end page showing a little bit of paper loss at gutter. Bookplate at front end page and gift inscription dated 1912 on first flyleaf. With the exception of the foxed end pages, the rest of the text is exceptionally clean with no pen, pencil, crayon or other markings noted. Height of book is 10 3/8" and width is 7 3/4". There are 336 pages as called for.
