According to the document Lalique produced for this piece "The tropical forest has been able to preserve, amidst is abundant, luxuriant vegetation, species of the rarest and most outstanding exotic birds. The Cockatoo bird, in the Maya culture, was a symbol of fire and solar energy. Lalique's skillful technique is reflected in this exclusive piece; like a magnificent trophy, two bold heads of Cockatoo birds, with their powerful beaks and soft plumage curve outwards from both sides of the vase. The finely etched stylishly shimmering feathers decorate the satin-finished crystal vase. This vase, sculpted in the tradition of the exceptional 'savoir-faire' of Lalique's master glassmakers, is destined to become a collector's item."
A striking and dramatic decorative object displayed on its own or filled with flowers.
