This Winsch Halloween Postcard features a lovely young lady hoping for love. Her potential suitor stands in the background along with the shadow of a Witch. The poem reads: "With a Goose wish-bone and four Pumpkin seeds, marked with letters of love On Halloween place over door on the sill above And he Who first passes from under, your Future husband to be -- if he don't blunder.
This card has a message on the back and is postmarked Riverside, NJ Oct 20. There is no year in the postmark, but 1911 is stamped next to the postmark. This card is in good vintage condition with the following minor flaws: corner and edge bumping, a very light crease across the curtain area that does not even go through the card and a very light crease at one corner. These are all minor and only mention for full disclosure. This is a beautiful and unusual Halloween postcard.
