This wood handle was for a long narrow saw blade referred to as a keyhole blade. The key hole saw is generally used for small jobs often in awkward spaces. The sometimes called pistol grip handle has a wing nut to secure the blade. The handle has a fish tail butt and on one side it has a detail sometimes referred to as a wheat design.
It measures about 5 ¾” across by 4 ¾” high by 7/8” thick and the hand hole measures about 3 1/8”. It is in very nice condition with minor soiling, scratch and nick wear to the original finish.
