This very sensitive artwork by this acclaimed extremely well-collected and well-listed artist, Joseph Margulies (Austrian/American 1896-1984). This is from a very small edition of only 50. I feel it is very representative of his best works. While his original one of a kind works demand very large prices, Margulies is also noted for etchings, aquatints and watercolors. He remained staunchly independent from abstract styles as they were the new fashion. I really like the feeling of this artwork. It is simply beautiful. There are very few artist histories as rich with museum representations, portraits of famous people, magazine covers, and a variety of awards as
Joseph Margulies.
