This very sensitive artwork by this acclaimed extremely well-collected and well-listed artist, Joseph Margulies (Austrian/American 1896-1984). While his original one of a kind works demand very large prices, Margulies is also noted for etchings, aquatints and watercolors. He remained staunchly independent from abstract styles as they were the new fashion. I really like the loving feeling of this artwork. It is simply haunting. There are very few artist histories as rich with museum representations, portraits of famous people, magazine covers, and a variety of awards as Joseph Margulies.
