An antique German bisque head doll made by Armand Marseille ca. 1894-1898. The doll stands ca. 21" (54 cm) tall. The head is free of damage or repair, no cracks, chips or restoration. The head is marked "1894 AM DEP Made in Germany 4".
Deep brown glass sleep eyes with fully operational eye mechanism and original lid paint. Open mouth with 4 teeth. A vintage wig.
An original Sonneberg wood and composition body in good condition. Her body has some areas of age-related wear.
The doll wears original clothing, a silk skirt, an organza blouse, a velvet bodice, cotton underclothes, leather shoes.
