French Antique Banded Agate and Copper Desk Seal

Offered is a French, late nineteenth century banded agate desk seal. It has a base of copper quality. The top of the seal is very elegantly carved from a piece of red agate with orange and white banding. The base is inscribed with the initials ‘MB’. It measures approx. 2-3/4 inches (7mm) tall and 15/16 inch (2.3cm) across the top. It weighs 31.56 grams. Overall in good antique condition with old hairlines. Please view all photos for details.
