A former employee of costume jewelry powerhouse Coro, Albert Weiss, started the Weiss jewelry company in 1942. Collectors covet Weiss' expertly crafted work with rhinestones and floral and natural figural designs. Michael Weiss, Albert's son, inherited the business after his father's retirement, but the company eventually closed in the 1970s.
