HERE’S AN OUTSTANDING 10” X 8” ORIGINAL VINTAGE MODERN MEXICAN CUT AND WELDED MIXED SHEET METAL BRASS & TIN ART SCULPTURE ATTRIBUTED TO GUADALAJARA, MEXICO ARTIST SERGIO BUSTAMANTE (B. 1949-) THAT DISPLAYS A ROBUST POLLO (CHICKEN) WITH A FULL ROUND BODY COVERED IN TIN FEATHERS ALONG WITH A BRASS CHEST PLATE, BEAK, EYES, AND TOP COMB!
Dimensions: The sculpture measures approximately ten inches (10”) in height, eight inches (8”) across the body from side to opposing side, by eight inches (8”) across the body from front to the opposing back side.
Unfortunately, there is no artist’s signature. To this end, several similar mixed sheet metal brass and tin pollo (chicken) sculpture have sold with the creative attribution given to Sergio Bustamanet. However, another strong contender for the artist who created this sculpture is Mexican artist Alexander Blazquez.
Condition: Generally excellent and clean condition with a mild age-related layer of dust within the feathers (sculpture needs to be cleaned). Overall, still a beauty!
