Measuring approximately nineteen inches (19”) in diameter by three inches (3”) in height, Glenda Kochen created this visually entrancing monumental fused kiln-fired dichroic studio art glass bowl as a vortex of color and light so that the colors change as the light changes. In darker ambient light, the colors turn to darker blue, surreal purple, and liquid-like aqua blue-green. The photographs shown above were all taken with flash photography and consequently have resulted in the colors having a more layered appearance with lighter blue, flashes of gold, and abstract streaks of black.
