HERE’S A FRAMED SIGNED ORIGINAL VINTAGE MID 20TH CENTURY JAPANESE PAINTING THAT DISPLAYS AN INTENSELY COLORFUL LANDSCAPE COMPRISED OF A SNOW-CAPPED MT. FUJI SET AGAINST A RED SKY, A GROVE OF ROUNDED DARK GREEN AND YELLOW TREES, A BLUE AND YELLOW LAKE WITH A MULTI-ARCHED WALKING BRIDE, A PAGODA BUILDING RENDERED IN BLUE, PINK, AND WHITE, AND SEVERAL PINK AND WHITE CHERRY BLOSSOM TREES ALONG THE LAKE’S SHORELINE!
Please Note: This vintage mid twentieth century Japanese painting appears to still retain its original white-washed wood frame, glass front, and paper backing. And the frame’s backside still retains an original gallery label that reads “The Picture Shop / Art Center of the Southwest / 143 N. Stone Ave. Tucson, Arizona”
Dimensions: The painting itself that can be viewed within the wooden frame measures approximately thirteen inches (13”) in height by fifteen and one half inches (15 1/2”) in width. The overall dimensions of the white-washed oak wood frame are approximately fifteen inches (15”) in height by seventeen and one half inches (17 1/2”) in width.
Signature: Signed in the bottom right corner with an artist’s red seal mark. Unfortunately, this red seal mark was faintly placed onto the painting’s surface and consequently is difficult to read. Again, the frame’s backside still retains an original gallery label that reads “The Picture Shop / Art Center of the Southwest / 143 N. Stone Ave. Tucson, Arizona”
Condition: The painting itself looks to be in very good toward excellent and clean condition but it has not been removed from the original vintage white-washed oak wooden frame for a thorough examination. To this end, the painting does not appear to have ever been removed from the frame. The frame itself is also in very good toward excellent and clean condition with some small markings and scuffs but overall still nice. And the frame’s paper backing is in good toward very good and clean condition with a few tears and small punctures but is still fully intact. Overall, still a beauty!
