A superb pair of 18th-Century Dutch Delft plates each with a Chinese figure. The chinoiserie figure and background design is based on old Chinese porcelain examples. They are hand molded and hand painted with a stylized design that includes a figure with a scroll (perhaps a torah), a gate, floral and foliate motif. Tin glazed faience, these are fine quality rare collectible plates.
