Fine quality antique Regency era collectible mahogany and brass hand-crafted bucket with swing handle. It is coopered mahogany bound with 5 brass bands and retains its original brass liner. These navette shaped buckets are often thought to be English in origin, but are in fact Dutch. It is decorative and fully functional, solid and sturdy and perfect as a jardiniere or wine cooler. It retains the original patina and surface. Weighs 6 pounds, solid and sturdy. They were originally used as peat buckets. With handle extended, height is 17.5".
