Antique Desk Set. Scissors and Letter Opener. Novelty Owl. C.1910.

Very unusual desk set comprising of scissors and a letter opener in their original leather sheath.

The scissors have very decorative embellishments around the handles. When closed and in the sheath they make the perfect backdrop for the owl finial of the letter opener.

The blades of both the scissors and letter opener are steel with white metal additions.
The sheath has a metal finial to the end.

There are some nibbles to the top edge of the sheath, otherwise condition is excellent for the age. Please see the photographs for clarification.
