Josef T, USS Hornet Navy Aircraft Carrier Ship In Buckner Bay Oil Painting - image 1 of 15

Portrait of the Use Hornet anchored in Buckner Bay Okinawa Japan. This was the aircraft carrier that picked up the first Apollo moon landing pilots. This is an original oil painting on stretched canvas. Signed by the artist in the lower right corner, Josef T. The 1970s painting is in great condition with no water damage, holes or tears. I do see so minor paint loss in ocean at both edges of painting at frames edge. Please see pictures as it is not noticeable unless looking for it. I also see a slight indentation in canvas from the numbers written on the verso. Painting measures 28 1/8 inches tall and 36 1/8 inches wide. Sits in its original wood frame that measures 31 1/4 inches tall and 39 1/4 inches wide. Frame looks nice but does have some chips of missing wood at edge. This came from a maritime museum collection. If you would like it shipped without frame for lower cost just let me know.
