For sale is a very nice late 19th century handmade folk art hooked rug that I acquired from a sale in New York state. It is hooked on burlap using fabric strips in a sort of log cabin variation design that has alternating diamonds, primarily in shades of brown, but with other colors used as well. The rug measures about 45 1/2" x 28", and is in nice antique condition, with no significant issues, although it has been bound with seam binding, possibly to protect fraying edges. In addition, there is Velcro sewn on the back for hanging, which could be removed if desired. Please look carefully at the pictures as they are an important part of the description, and be sure to ask any questions. What a terrific addition to your primitive decor!
