For sale is a terrific antique painted and stenciled tin document box that I acquired from a sale in Pennsylvania, and that I'm fairly sure was made there as well. The box is painted a salmon color, and there is a fruit and flowers design stenciled on the front in gold, silver, and a bit of black. The lid is also decorated with painted
black piping and a gold border. In addition, there is black piping on all 4 sides, and the bottom is painted black. The box has a dome lid, and measures about 9 1/2" long, 5 3/4" wide, and 7" tall. It is a nice antique condition with wear to the paint, particularly on the front, an aged patina, but no dents etc. Please look carefully at the pictures as they are an important part of the description, and be sure to ask any questions. What a unique addition to your folk art collection, great for storing small items!
