These stunning Fostoria Elegant Glass Waterfall Stem 5099 Topaz Yellow Tall Sherbets have the beloved Trojan Etch! Fostoria's hard-to-find Trojan pattern #280, is a pretty plate-etched Art Deco design of fancy inverted hearts alternating with scrolling cartouches. The 5099 stem blank is a 12-sided paneled optic bowl with a gorgeous ribbed waterfall-tiered stem. Here the bowl is in the beautiful yellow Fostoria called Topaz.
Perfect for serving a champagne cocktail, each gorgeous goblet measures 6-inches tall. Perched on a 3-inch diameter foot, the bowl is about 2-inches deep and 4-inches at the rim.
This color combination on Blank #5099 was made by Fostoria for the short period from 1929 to 1936, making these sherbets pretty scarce today. There is no mark.
One has no condition issues other than the occasional tiny bubble in the glass. The second one has the slightest spot that will catch your fingernail on the edge. This is so small as to be almost imperceptible and may in fact be a popped bubble. The price is for the pair.
