Here is a pair of sturdy, handled salt and pepper shakers in Hall's beloved Rose Parade pattern. The pattern, Rose Parade, is an all-over solid, medium blue with white handles. The handles are decorated with a pink wild rose on green leaves. This egg shape was known as the "Sani-Grid" shape. The holes on the top of each shaker form a "P" or an "S" respectively.
These egg-shaped, handled, blue and white salt and pepper shakers were made by Hall during the 1940s. Each pottery shaker measures 3-1/2 inches at its widest, the handle adds a little over an Inch, and the height is about 4 inches. There is no mark.
There is a small chip next to one of the holes in the salt and it looks like someone attempted to repair it with color. There is also a bit of brown within a couple of the holes. There is a hard-to-reach area under the top of one handle that will need cleaning. The corks are missing, and the blue of the Salt shaker is just slightly darker than the blue of the Pepper. The rose on the handle is full and clear on both.
