An open, attractively abrashed dark indigo field displays an alternation of hooked hexagons and eight point medallions sprouting abstract buds. There are no secondary elements to compete with the march of the iconic Karadja elements in the field. An attractive blue-green is a particular stand out among the detail colours which include ivory, straw yellow, madder red,salmon-tan and medium blue. The foundation is all cotton with single weft between rows of symmetric knots. There is wear with small spots of foundation exposed. The sort of well used condition is quite acceptable for modern end users and does not detract from the attractive authenticity of this village rug.
Even though there is some wear,it has plenty of life left and it can take significant usage. This runner has been professionally cleaned.
