This is a dainty 9 karat yellow gold hat pin from the Victorian Era. It has a 5-3/4 inch pin shank. The head has an inverted teardrop shape, which shows a graduated, arced and Tuscan beading pattern, while the head is barely 1/4 inch long, close examination exposes the fineness of the composition and execution of the work. It has a traditional crimped finding. Time has slightly mellowed the coloring of the gold, but is has a wonderful sheen. This one is in lovely Antique condition.
