This Victorian, hat pin possibly going into the Edwardian Period, with a 7-1/2 inch shank. features on its' head an oval, faux turquoise stone, made of glass. It is bezel set, with a banding around the bezel of tiny beading. The faux turquoise is 3/4 inches long and slightly more than 1/2 inch in wide. It is set in an impressed bronze tone metal, which is picked out in a floral pattern. When viewed from underneath, it is easy to discern how it was stamped out. The finding is of the bridge variety. It may also be brass that with time has developed the bronze patina on the head. The hat pin is in wonderful antique condition. A beauty to stand out in your collection!
