This is a very elegant hat pin probably transitional between the Victorian-Edwardian period based on the pin's shank length of 7 inches. The hat pin head is a supported square, with the bottom tapering into the finding. The top has a linear design, picked out in Etruscan Beading. In the center is a faux pink coral glass stone done in the round. It is apparent from the head and pin's shank that this pin was at one time coated in brass, to give it a golden tone look. This coating actually enhances the Antique look. The finding is a crimp style, with a bead ring right above it. Except for the faded coating, this lovely pin is in excellent antique condition.
