This is an unusually colored Victorian hatpin. The head of the swivel, which is banded is marked sterling, is composed of fused glass, in colors of bronze and turquoise. It is shaped as half a sphere , making for a rounded top which measuring 3/4 inches in diameter. The finding is typical for swivel head, with the crimp portion being attached to the inset bar in the head. The pin shank is 4-3/4 inches long. The hatpin is in excellent antique condition.
