Sterling silver child's bowl and matching plate by Kerr. This charming set is about children praying and minding their manners. The expertly done decoration is acid etched. Circa 1890's. Each is engraved W.F.F. Jr. The bowl reads "Every night my prayers I say, And get my dinner every day: And every day that I've been good I get an orange after food". It is 4 1/4" diameter by 1 3/4" high. It weighs 5.51 ounces.
The plate reads "A child should always say what's true and speak when he is spoken to. And behave mannerly at table; At least as far as he is able." It is 6 3/8" diameter. It weighs 4.85 ounces.. They are in good condition.
