Offered is this lovely 11" early 1820s 30s Grodnertal Wood Tuck Comb Doll, I have named her Gwendolyn. She has a stern little face with a pointy nose and chin. Pierced ears with earrings. Black painted hair with a gold painted tuck comb. Shaded side curls at the sides of her head. Her body is jointed at the shoulders, elbows, hips and knees and all joints work well. Separate carved thumbs on her hands. Red/orange painted slippers. Antique simple black dotted cotton dress with antique underclothing.
Condition: No repaint, her painting is all original. Some finish wear as would be expected on these early dolls, but she is well preserved.
